CENTRE FOR CIRCULARITY

Centre for Resource Efficiency, Recyclability and Circularity in Energy Transition
On a mission to develop India’s first integrated testbed for evaluating the potential for recycling of Battery, Solar waste and plastic waste (in Energy Transition).

CENTRE FOR CIRCULARITY

CIRCULAR ECONOMY Circular economy addresses pressing environmental challenges, drives economic resilience, and promotes a more sustainable and equitable future. Its adoption is essential for moving towards a system that values longevity and resource efficiency over disposability and waste.

CENTRE FOR CIRCULARITY

Under School of Sustainability - IIT MADRAS We aim to be the primary destination globally in developing and implementing ideas on Technologies for Circular Economy for Battery, Solar waste and plastic recycling, offering a transformative shift from traditional linear model of “take, make, dispose”
ABOUT THE CENTRE

Centre for Resource Efficiency, Recyclability and Circularity in Energy Transition

The Centre for Resource Efficiency, Recyclability and Circularity in Energy Transition, under the aegis of the School of Sustainability, emphasises the continuous use of resources by designing for durability, repairability, and recycling. Closing the product lifecycle loop through greater resource efficiency and waste minimisation helps reduce environmental impacts and supports sustainable growth.
